Top o' the morning to ya! Howya doin'? (<-- That's how they greet ya in Ireland.) After receiving the results from my 23 and Me ancestry test that I did over the Christmas holiday, I found out that I am more than 60% Irish..."Irish Viking" to be more specific. HAHA I guess that means I get to fully embrace all the St. Patty's day fun and maybe I'll even slug back a pint of the black stuff (aka Guinness). But first, I have some some great March-themed oil information for you to take a gander at. Young Living is rewarding us in the month of March with all things Thieves. In our tribe FB group I am posting 31 Days of Thieves – where I will post something about Thieves, DIYs and recipes using Thieves, and covering all of our Thieves infused products and hacks each and everyday of the month. Be sure to head over to our We Are Abundance Facebook group to check it out. But real quick before I go and let you move on the good stuff in store in this issue of the Tribe Tribune, I want to leave you with a little Irish blessing... May your troubles be less and your blessings be more and nothing but happiness come through your door. 💚,
Thieves Household Cleaner
Young Living members have a love affair with Thieves and the Thieves line of products and with good reason. Thieves cleaner is effective, safe (like hand it to your boys to clean their own bathroom level of safe), and SO affordable. So what’s in it? Water, Sodium Methyl 2- Sulfolaurate (plant based surfactant derived from coconuts), Disodium 2-Sulfolaurate (Plant based surfactant and foaming agent derived from coconuts), Thieves Essential Oil Containing: Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary, and Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate (plant based preserver totally biodegradable). There are 40+ uses for Thieves Household Cleaner. Some of my favorites include: add a ½ capful in really dirty laundry or as a stain pre-treater, add a capful to the bottom of your dishwasher, apply for pet clean up (bowls, carpet accidents, dog beds, etc); I’ve even used it to wash my dishes in a pinch and while camping. This stuff does it all!

WHY SWITCH TO ALL NATURAL, PLANT-BASED CLEANING?
Every chemical, every toxin in the products we use daily accumulate in our cells and can cause long-term effects. They are absorbed directly into our bloodstream and carried right to our delicate organs. We are breathing in nasty toxins every time we clean a kitchen counter, wash a load of clothes, or tackle the bathrooms!
DID YOU KNOW?
That congress passed The Toxic Substance Control Act in 1976 grandfathering in up to 100,000 toxic chemicals on the market. No safety testing required. No regulations at all. We do not know their side effects. These chemicals are simply allowed in our everyday products.
Under this law manufacturers are protected under “trade secret laws” and do not have to disclose all of the chemical ingredients in their products.
The word “fragrance” on a bottle could contain hundreds of different chemicals - all undisclosed.
The American Cancer Society says that only 5 - 10% of cancer cases are from gene defects. The other 90 - 95% are caused by what we allow into our bodies and homes.
We can change this toxic overload. One room at a time.
Common toxins found in cleaning products include: alcohol, aluminum, DEA / TEA, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Talc, Paraben, synthetic dyes, fragrance and petroleum byproducts. All of these are known carcinogens (meaning known to increase the likelihood of cancer in the body), hormone disrupters and skin irritants.
YOU WON’T FIND ANY OF THOSE TOXINS IN THIEVES.
Guess what? Young Living is giving Thieves Household Cleaner away for FREEEEEE this month as part of their March PV promotion. See below for details on how to score a bottle.
HOW TO DILUTE THHC
With two children and pets in the house, there always seems to be a mess that needs to be cleaned up. Ink on the counter. Grass stains on a shirt. Juice stain on the couch. Dog grime on sliding glass doors. Dirty handprints on the wall. Who-knows-what (and I probably don’t want to know) that left a sticky mess all over my living room chairs. With so many things to clean, I can’t
stand to stockpile a cabinet full of cleaners. I don’t want to remember what is used for where. I just want simplicity. In the words of Sweet Brown...ain't nobody got time for dat!
I am so thankful for Thieves Household Cleaner (THHC). Grime? Grease? Stains? Glass? Counters...even granite? Wood floors? You name it...plus it’s safe around kids and pets! Save time and money by buying just ONE cleaning product. You won’t have to make trips to multiple stores or order from multiple online sources. Thieves Household Cleaner is an all-in-one cleaning product that will replace ALL of your household cleaners. At less that a $1.00 per bottle, you can’t even get “organic” cleaner for that little, it's a no-brainer! THHC is super concentrated, so it should be diluted. Even though there are about a million ways to use Thieves Household Cleaner, here are the most popular dilution ratios.

Bath Bomb Recipe
Young Living Bath Bombs are so wonderful and convenient, but sometimes you might want to make customized ones, have a girls DIY party, or you just need extra for personal use: gifts, party favors, etc… Basic bath bombs that fizz consist of 1 part citric acid to 2 parts baking soda. Other ingredients like bentonite clay (make them harder) or Epsom salt (muscle-soothing) can be added. I like to add activated charcoal for a detox bomb; the possibilities are endless. Think of your needs, then get creative. Bathing with essential oils is an effective way of reaping all the benefits of our oils. Here's a good basic bath bomb recipe. (About 6-10 Bath Bombs). I have provided links to the ingredients I used in my last class; there are many options available.
1 cup citric acid
2 cups baking soda
½ cup cornstarch (easily omitted)
½ cup Epsom salts (can add up to a cup)
¼ teaspoon dry color, such as bath bomb color, mica, or other natural pigments
20-25 drops Young Living essential oils (you choose)
3 tablespoons liquid oil, such as sweet almond or avocado (I get mine at Costco) (all YL massage oils work well too and add an extra punch of oils - adjust accordingly)
Bath bomb molds - these are also optional. I’ve had great results with various muffin tins/molds.
Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add color, mix. Add essential oils, mix. Add liquid oil, mix.Spritz 3-4 times with the alcohol/witch hazel mixture (or water). Mix quickly, repeat. When it resembles damp sand, squeeze a handful together firmly, drop it into the bowl. If it holds together, your bath bombs are ready to mold. If it breaks apart, keep spritzing. BE PATIENT.Pack molds by pushing the halves together in your mixture several times until it’s thoroughly filled on both sides. Don't twist, as this will separate the halves. You want them to join cohesively.Tap each side with a finger or spoon, then release one half. Turn over and release the other half. Set on paper towel and continue. (Bath bombs may initially smell like alcohol, but this will evaporate in a day or two.)Dry for at least 24 hours, then seal in plastic wrap or in an airtight container. The bath bombs need to be sealed or they will absorb moisture from the air and won't fizz as much in the bathtub. If for some reason they just won’t stay together, bag them up (leave open for 24 hours), a bag of “bath bomb” works JUST the same as a perfectly formed bath bomb! LOL. Give yourself some grace.

Fruit & Veggie Wash
When the Thieves Fruit & Veggie Wash first came out, I really wasn’t all that excited. The first time I realized how important something like this could be was when my friend was diagnosed with breast cancer and started treatment. During treatment she was told she couldn’t eat any raw veggies or fruits because the residue and bacteria on the skins were known to cause sickness, something she couldn’t afford. Suddenly I understood WHY we need to really CLEAN our fruits and veggies. I noticed when we used these products that fruits and veggies lasted longer. They also looked prettier (not important really, but worth mentioning). When I really turned a corner was last year when I wanted to be eating fruit daily at work. I realized that I wasn’t getting them clean enough with water and how convenient it would be to have the spray in my purse. I’ve been using these for over a year now, and I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to eat truly clean fruits and veggies - what a difference in my digestion! In addition to Thieves essential oil, these are also infused with Purification & Digize. They are a great value, last a really long time and help so much. These are a MUST try!

Pine Essential Oil
Pine Essential Oil is underrated. It supports the respiratory system with similar constituents as eucalyptus, has emotionally grounding and balancing influences, and it reminds everyone of “CLEAN” when they smell it, especially when diffused in conjunction with Lemon. Pine is also physically relaxing for muscles. It’s a bargain too, just $15.50 wholesale to bring the freshness of an outdoor stroll through the woods into your home. Fun fact: Native Americans and early settlers stuffed mattresses and bed rolls with pine needles to ward off “bugs” and nasties. In your diffuser, try 3 drops of Pine, Lavender and Lemon.
